Range Systems live fire shoot houses have been chosen for their superior performance by law enforcement departments and military agencies worldwide. Here are snapshot reviews of a few of our shoot house projects.
Range Systems designed, fabricated and installed multiple shoot houses at Fort Lewis to support their requirement for effective urban operations training. The shoot houses are modular and reconfigurable in design and provide a safe training environment. In addition, the shoot house buildings are designed to meet the provisions for seismic construction.
Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC)
Hohenfels Germany
Range Systems was selected to supply a complex of deployable shoot houses that offered realistic and challenging urban operations training for the JMRC and could endure harsh weather conditions and extreme live firing. The shoot house complex is fielded worldwide on terrain with minimal improvements and is accomplished without heavy material handling equipment. Range Systems designed standard modular components to create the live fire training complex allowing the components to be interchangeable to quickly reconfigure any layout required.
US Army
Ft Bragg
Range Systems developed and installed multiple shoot house facilities that could be fielded quickly to train elite US Special Forces and endure extreme live firing around the clock. These shoot houses were unique in design because of Ft. Bragg’s training requirements.
Butte County Sheriff’s Office
Chico, CA
Excerpts from an article written by Lt Andy Duch, Butte County Sheriff’s Office, published in California Sheriff magazine:
“Drawing on the experiences of other California based law enforcement agencies using Range Systems shoot houses, such as the Los Angeles and Glendale Police Departments and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office set out to build a shoot house incorporating only the best design concepts.
While sturdy “bullet-proof” walls are certainly the most important component of any live-fire shoot house, a bare armor shoot house would be completely unsafe and unusable without some way to capture, absorb and contain all fired projectiles and fragments. This is where the Range System design shines. All vertical surfaces subject to bullet impact are covered by Range Systems patented “Dura-Panel” ballistic rubber panels.
Upon completion of a 1,300 square foot Range Systems shoot house, Butte County Sheriff Perry Reniff was pleased to see his department take the lead in live-fire, scenario based training for Northern California. The live-fire shoot house marks a quantum leap forward in how regional first responders and tactical teams will gain knowledge and hone their skills”.
